Typically, discrimination cases are litigated through either the Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development (DWD) or the Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC). Both are relatively informal processes designed to compensate employees who have suffered discrimination for lost wages. In the event that the discrimination or harassment you suffered was more serious and resulted in additional loses, employees can take their cases before the Federal Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. This is a lengthy process that requires patience and an attorney who understands how to best position your rights throughout.
